Just some railroad researchers trying to preserve the quickly fading memories of railroading during the regulated era. The documentation was at its peak and with time much of that documentation has been lost. Our goal is to make it available to future generations. The challenge is the limited number of copies of much of this paper surviving and it is deteriorating with age. Most documentation was not intended to last forever. Some papers like train orders were generally used for part of one trip. Many of the tariff books were reissued and updated every few months to years with supplements in between and the old copies generally destroyed.
